What’s my story?

I grew up about an hour’s north of Auckland, New Zealand, in a town called Matakana surrounded by animals. I traded in the animals for the city and begun working at DDB Group Aotearoa (formerly DDB New Zealand) once I’d finished my studies, and was hooked on being surrounded by creativity.

I love to cook, and am very happy to block out hours of my day for prep and cooking of meals, ideally alongside a wine or beer - while also making sure to be generous on tasting as I go (it’s a crucial part of cooking I swear).

I’ve played sports my entire life, and continue playing them to this day. From the Under 5 Coatesville Spiders football team, to representing my region in field hockey, to charity golf tournaments dressed as a Mario Brother (Closest to the Pin Champion ‘21), I’ve never been able to kick the habit. I also completed my first Hyrox this year which was a great personal achievement for me.

I’ve also completed two ‘Calm Under Pressure’ breathwork courses. Think meditation in high stress environments. Previous participants included UFC fighters, paramedics, SAS soldiers, and high performance athletes. Might be slightly overkill for a career in advertising, but I still utilize the teachings that I’ve learned to this day. Recently I trained for 6 months to do my first Hyrox race, which I plan to race again in soon!
